Purpose of Career Advising
The purpose of career advising is to help students understand how to present their skills, communicate their background, and apply for suitable opportunities. Many students complete training but need additional guidance to prepare a strong resume, answer interview questions, and apply for jobs in a professional way.
Career advising may help students with:
- Understanding suitable job roles based on their program and background.
- Preparing or improving a professional resume.
- Practicing interview questions and answers.
- Learning how to explain projects, skills, and experience.
- Improving LinkedIn and professional profile presentation.
- Understanding job application methods.
- Planning a realistic career development path.
Career advising is supportive and educational in nature. Final hiring decisions are made by employers and are outside River Mount’s control.
Career Advising Service Model
River Mount provides career advising through two service levels: Free Service and Premium Service. Free services provide basic guidance to help students understand the job preparation process. Premium services provide more detailed, personalized, and time-intensive support for students who need deeper assistance.

| Free Service | Basic career guidance, general resume suggestions, general interview tips, and limited job application direction. |
| Premium Service | Personalized consulting, detailed resume development, targeted interview preparation, application strategy, and one-on-one advising. |
Both service types are designed to support students professionally. Premium service does not guarantee job placement, but it may provide more detailed and customized support.
Resume Making Consultancy
River Mount helps students understand how to prepare a clear, professional, and role-focused resume. A strong resume should present the student’s skills, projects, training, tools, achievements, and relevant experience in a way that is easy for recruiters and employers to review.

|---|---|
| Free Service | Basic resume review, general formatting suggestions, and common improvement guidance. |

Important Career Service Notice
River Mount provides career advising, job search guidance, resume consultancy, interview preparation consultancy, and application consultancy. These services are designed to support student preparation, but they do not guarantee employment, salary, interview selection, employer response, visa sponsorship, or job placement.
Hiring decisions are made only by employers. Job market results depend on many factors, including the student’s skills, experience, communication ability, location, work authorization, job availability, employer requirements, and interview performance.
River Mount’s role is to guide, advise, and support students in their preparation process.
Student Responsibility
Students are responsible for actively participating in the career advising process. Career support works best when students provide accurate information, complete assigned preparation tasks, attend scheduled advising sessions, improve their resume, practice interview answers, and apply consistently.
Students should also understand that career development takes time. Completing a certificate program and receiving career advising can improve preparation, but students must continue learning, practicing, applying, and communicating professionally.
Our Commitment
River Mount is committed to helping students prepare for career opportunities through practical guidance, professional advising, and structured support. The goal is to help students understand the job market, improve their professional presentation, and become more confident in their career journey.
Through both free and premium paid services, River Mount supports students with resume preparation, interview readiness, job application planning, and career direction. These services are part of River Mount’s broader commitment to student success and professional development.
